St. Paul's Parish Welcomes New Rector!
The Rev. Dr. Beth A. Macke was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to the South to attend Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. She moved to Atlanta in 1989 to pursue a Ph.D. in sociology at Emory University. Upon graduation in 1993, she worked as a medical sociologist at the Centers for Disease Control. She began seminary at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, in 1998. She was ordained to the diaconate in June 2001 and the priesthood in December of that year. Beth served as curate at St. George's Episcopal Church in Griffin, Georgia, and Senior Assistant to the Rector at St. David's in Roswell, Georgia, prior to being called as rector of St. Mary's, Middlesboro. We are very happy to welcome Beth and her son, William Dale, to Henderson.
