Ministry on the River
St. Paul's is proud to be a "River Friendly Church". Through Ministry on the River we participate in programs such as Christmas on the River and Easter on the River, sending gifts of hard candy, beef jerky, playing cards, knitted scarves and caps, and other items to the inland waterway crews who will be away from home at the holidays, and the Pass It On library of books and videos.

First Impressions
First Impressions is a ministry of St. Paul's which provides quality used clothing free of charge to women moving from the welfare roles to the work force. Women referred to First Impressions are assisted in selecting an appropriate outfit for the job interview. Once outfitted for success, the women have a far better attitude for facing their interviews. When a job offer is made First Impressions provides a wardrobe to see them through the work week. With this assistance many women have found their way into the work force women since 1999.
You can contribute to this effort by donating your good used men's and women's clothing to First Impressions at The Clothes Horse consignment shop. For more information phone either The Clothes Horse at 826-6218 or call the parish office. The Clothes Horse, which is located at 420 Second St. in Henderson, is open from 11:00 - 5:30 Tuesday through Friday or 10:00 - 2:00 on Saturdays.
Henderson Christian Community Outreach
St. Paul's is a founding member of this organization which is funded by some twenty plus Christian congregations in the county and by the United Way of Henderson County.
The work of this organization is to assist needy county residents with food, rent and utility costs. The organization belongs to a tracking system along with churches and other charities in the county to coordinate with those others to keep records and hopefully eliminate individuals exploiting the generosity of the community by duplication of requests and misrepresentation of need.
The organization has only one paid staff member. All other duties are handled by a dedicated cadre of volunteers from the member congregations. St. Paul's appoints two of its parishioners as board members.
